I would like to request that in the new version of the WheelMUD were implemented all avaliable protocols, from with the main are:

    * MCP - Quote:
    MUD Client Protocol

    * MSP - Quote:
    MUD Sound Protocol

    * MCCP - Quote:
    MUD Client Compression Protocol

    * MXP - Quote:
    MUD eXtension Protocol
Explanation:
All existing MUD and MUSH servers don't have mostly (or any) support for them, so implementing the support of all protocols would bring WhellMUD on the top ;)

I know we have a pretty decent framework for building up new protocols independently of one another and these all certainly have value. The question for me is not whether we should do these, but where each should fall in the roadmap. So to address each of these individually:

MCP is not tracked yet, but should probably add to jira at v1.1, IMO. (Basic Info: http://www.moo.mud.org/mcp/)
MSP is not tracked yet, but should probably add to jira at v1.1, IMO. (Basic Info
MCCP - implemented already.
MXP is tracked already: {{Dead Issue Link}}

The question is only, when the mentioned protocols will become implamented...

Hi Mcgiwer. Karak basically said that we already support one of your proposed features, and the others have been added to the "To-Do List" for version 1.1.
If you are looking for a specific date, that probably won't happen because the release of new versions depends on the number of available coders and how much time they have available to spend.
Thanks for your input and interest! Smile

MXP is mostly implemented. I know that the IMAGE tag is not done, but pretty much everything else is.

As JFed said, it's a matter of finding the time to get them done. Mundania is a cruel mistress.
