I'm going to run an experiment of moving the offline editor that I've created into a HTML\Javascript platform. The Winforms widget is just driving me crazy, and the user experience is just horrible. Neutral I did some research last night, and saw all kinds of cool javascript UI libraries. The YUI library really impressed me.
I may have to just create a project on eLance or ODesk to get the basic framework of this worked out, and I'll tweak the details after the basics are created.
Anyways, just wanted to let people know what I'm doing.

Here's a bit of experimentation with jQuery EasyUI javascript library:

That was easy enough. Now let's see if I can tweak the icons.

Interesting approach. I haven't worked much with Java / JavaScript / etc very recently - is this going to be able to reuse the .NET libraries and persist objects into RavenDB well without having to reinvent / mirror a bunch of (changing) objects?

Client web technology is HTML and JavaScript. The backend will be ASP.NET, which will leverage all the .NET code we have written. I found out that Microsoft released IIS Express. I'm planning on bundling IIS Express as part of the "Builder" ecosystem. I'm evaluating installation software at this time as well.

I felt that we need to move technologies for builders early on, so that we can get traction. I've been having a heck of a time distributing UML to others. There's all kind of dependencies that I can't seem to get right. Something like the web stuff I'm working on, is more doable now. I'm aiming to have the same experience we have with the code.

Here's a bit more work done:

Now going to work on the actual work to get data from the .NET database code.

Alright, a little more stuff on this project...
I'm going to be using the open source library called <a href="">ServiceStack</a>. I'm already using their ORMLite microORM for our database needs. ServiceStack provides a library to create RESTful APIs. I need this, so that I can put a layer on top of our .NET code. This will provide the ajax portion of the web editor with the needed JSON data.
I found that for configuration stuff in the web editor, I can use a javascript file that contains a JSON "dataset." Here's the link that gave me that idea -&gt; <a href=" onfig-files-for-javascript">javascript configuration</a>
Having fun programming again! Cool
